The renovated flat is located in the northern part of Parque das Nações, an area developed between the late 1990s and early 2000s. Located on the fifth and top floor of a building with a privileged view of the Tagus River, it is part of a condominium close to shops, green areas, cycle paths and other amenities.

With a generous area and a terrace overlooking the river, the flat nevertheless had a rather impractical interior layout: the living room and kitchen were at opposite ends of the house. The living room, next to the terrace, enjoyed excellent natural light, while the kitchen was narrow, closed off and poorly lit.

The main objective of the intervention was to reorganise the space, bringing the kitchen closer to the social area, given its central role in family life. The new layout resulted in a more fluid organisation: the entrance hall now clearly separates the private area from the social area. The latter, now an open space, is divided into three areas: living room, dining room and kitchen, all with direct access to the terrace and natural light.

The private area, located at the opposite end, includes three bedrooms (making the flat a three-bedroom flat), two of which are served by refurbished bathrooms, one of which is integrated into the suite. One of the bedrooms has been converted into an office, with a new guest bathroom, ensuring greater privacy for the intimate area of the house.

Custom-made wardrobes were designed, also used as transitional elements between spaces and levels of privacy. The kitchen furniture, also designed from scratch, features a sculptural central island that is functional for both dining and working. The grey Estremoz marble contrasts with the white tones and warm wood, giving the house a new harmony and material coherence that did not exist before.
