We define the briefing together with the client, through meetings to exchange ideas, analyze references, and reflect on predefined concepts, assessing their relevance to the project.
We studied the location and its vernacular architecture, valuing the setting, tradition, and memory as the main inspirations for the concept.
We analyzed the legislation applicable to the location and the project, supplemented by meetings with the city council for technical clarifications.
We explored different approaches, evaluating the pros and cons of each, until we found the most balanced solution that reconciled the natural and legal requirements of an architectural project.
Pieces resulting from the preliminary study:
- Photographic record of the site and survey of existing architecture.
- Development of freehand drawings during the study of different approaches and 1/100 scale plans.
- Creation of 3D images that facilitate the client's understanding of the proposals and their impact on the terrain, suggesting final materials and conveying the project's environment.
- Technical drawings at scales 1/100 and 1/50 of the chosen proposal – floor plans, sections, and elevations.
- Delivery of a printed and bound “book” with a summary of the work carried out.
